DUmp: Why are our favored candidates not doing well in polls?

In this thread, the DUmmies wonder why their preferred candidates aren't doing well in public polls:

Their poll compared to ours on DU?
While watching CNN last night, they were covering the story of Sen. Obama in NH. Suddenly, they flashed this poll showing Obama and Hillary with a big percentage, and the guys that poll highly on DU, (Edwards, Clark, and I think Gore) with single digit numbers. I remember Clark being 2%! WTF! Are we out of touch here? Or are they making this up?

Gee, I wonder why? Maybe because DU is so insulated from anyone to the right of Marx?

1. Clark , in particular has almost NO support outside DU.

IMO most Democrats want someone new, not 2000 or 2004 retreads.

From my conversations with Democrats, the CNN poll sounds about right.

I mean, just think...Its NOW that the American people are waking up to realities of Iraq, according to polls. The same with hold with polls. Obama will stay up there because he's hot, but I expect others to rise.

so we respond differently here than to most general polls.

A lot can change in the nearly two years we have left before the election. And a lot of things can come to light once the investigations begin that change the way people feel. Those who seem to be comfortable with the status quo might not look so good to a really pissed-off populace.
