1. Detroit Lions - Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame - They need a capable QB to throw the ball b/c Kitna isn't cutting it.
2. Oakland Raiders - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech. Moss will be out and Porter has been out for a while now. OAK loves freak athletes and Johnson will fill the void that will be left by Moss and Porter.
3. Cleveland Browns - Adrian Petersen, RB, Oklahoma. Droughens is capable but he's getting older and he's not a home-run type of back. Petersen is injury-prone but too good to pass up. *If OAK elects to take Petersen in stead of Johnson, then look for CLE to take Johnson. Imagine Edwards and Johnson and Winslow on the CLE offense.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson. Adams is a similiar prosepect to Simeon Rice. The Bucs D has gone down. Many people see the Bucs taking a WR like Dwayne Jarret but this is too high of a pick to take him and the D is a more of a pressing need.
5. Arizona Cardinals - Joe Thomas, OL, Wisconsin. Offense is potent but not capable of protecting its franchise QB. Thomas is protect Leinart and help make lanes for James to run through. With Jake Long out of the draft, Thomas is a clear-cut top OL.
6. Washington Redskins - Alan Branch, DT, MICH. Skins needs to stop the run. A big body like Branch an do just that. They could also use a DE so Quentin Moses is a possibility and so is CB Leon Hall. I believe they'll elect to go fot the DL.
7. Houston Texans - Marshawn Lynch, RB, CAL. HOU needs a a rushing attack. This may be a bit of a reach. Look for HOU to possible trade down and still grab Lynch up.
8. Minnesota Vikings - Dwayne Jarret, WR, USC. Vikings need a wideout that can actually catch the ball. WSilliamson is good but only as a second or third option. Jarrett is fast, tall, and a great redzone threat.
9. San Francisco 49ers - Leon Hall, CB, MICH. 49ers have a great offense starting to come around. They could use a playmaker at wideout but with Jarrett off the board and Ginn not totally worth a top 10 pick nor Rice, 49ers grab a future shutdown corner and playmaker in the secondary.
10. Miami Dolphins - Quinn Pitcock, DT, Ohio St. MIA could use a LB but 3 old DT free agents on the roster, MIA selects a young and dominant DT to anchor the D-Line.
11. St. Louis Rams - Quentin Moses, DE, Georgia. Looking for a solid pass rush to go along with Leonard Little, the Rams take the next best DE in Moses.
12. Atlanta Falcons - Laron Landry, S, LSU. Looking for a playmaker in the secondary to go along with D'Angelo Hall, ATL takes Landry who is the best safety in the draft.
13. Carolina Panthers - Patrick Willis, LB, Miss. With Dan Morgan's career possibly over, Panters bolster that "great" defense on paper with the best LB in the SEC.
14. Green Bay Packers - Darrell Revis, CB, Pitt. With the elite RBs off the board, GB will bolster its defense. Revis is considered one of the top if not the top CB in the draft. I can see Packers shake up the draft a little and possibly go for Michael Bush, RB from Louisville, b/c they need to replace Green. Keep an eye out.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers - Justin Blalock, OG, Texas. Looking to possibly bolster its greatest strength, its O-line, PIT grabs on of the nation's top Guards. Look for PIT to look for secondary help a possibly draft Nelson, DB - Florida, or McCauley, CB - Fresno St.
16. New York Giants - Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno St. NYG need secondary help. Keep an eye out for Damien Hughes, CB, Cal to also be considered.
17. Buffalo Bills - JaMarcus Russel, QB, LSU. JP Losman sucks. They need to upgrade the QB position. Possibly a O-Line upgrade maybe possible. Also look for Levi Brown, OT, Penn St. I'm assuming Brohm will stay for his senior year.
18. New England Patriots (via Seattle) - Michael Griffin, S, Texas. Rodney Harrison is getting old and NE needs a young leader in the secondary to eventually replace him.
19. Kansas City Chiefs - Levi Brown, OT, Penn St. They need O-Line help with that aging corp. of players. Also, DeMarcus Tyler, DT, NC State, is a strong option here.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars - Daymieon Hughes, CB, Cal. Too good of a corner to pass up on. They really need a steady QB but withot Brohm in this draft class and Quinn already gone, they have no choice. Maybe Troy Smith? Who knows!
21. Cincinnati Bengals - Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville. Young and raw but full of potential. Defensive mindered coach gobbles up this project.
22. Tennessee Titans - Ted Ginn, Jr., WR, OSU. Too much of a playmaker threat to pass up on. Young to Ginn is too good.
23. Dallas Cowboys - LaMarr Woodley, DE, Michigan. Great fit into the 3-4 defense DAL runs.
24. New York Jets - Kenny Irons, RB, Auburn. NYJ need homerun threat at RB and Irons provides it to them. Also may look to bolster its secondary w/ Reggie Nelson, S, Florida.
25. Philadelphia Eagles - Reggie Nelson, S, Florida. Ball-hawk safety to eventaully replace Brian Dawkins.
26. Denver Broncos * - Adam Carriker, DE, Nebraska. The lack of a consistent and powerful pass rush forces DEN to reach and take Carriker.
27. New Orleans Saints - Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn St. Not getting AJ Hawk last year and getting stuck with Reggie Bush (not too shabby) left the LB is flux. Posluszny provides instant impact on NO's Dedense.
28. New England Patriots - Jeff Samardzija, WR, Notre Dame. Coached by former NE coordinator and a wideout...a match made in heaven for NE
29. Indianapolis Colts - Earl Everett, LB, Florida. Speedy LB to match Indy's style of play. I don't think they draft a DT. They will have a healthy Corey Simon and MacFarland next season. Top DTs when healthy.
30. Baltimore Ravens - Rufus Alexander, LB, Oklahoma. Has the mean streak to be a LB for the Ravens.
31. Chicago Bears - Zach Miller, TE, Arizona St. Solid TE to be utilized for Grossman and offensive scheme.
32. San Diego Chargers - Sidney Rice, WR, S. Carolina. Too much potential to pass up on. Plus Keenan can't play on forever.
